6-16-2001L William IV pedestal base library table.
The 48" diameter circular top is fitted with tooled green
leather within a cross-banded and bullnosed mahogany molding.
The top is supported by a conforming apron with eight drawers
alternating been functional and faux. Each drawer face is mounted
with a pair of drop-ring cast brass drawer pulls flanking a brass
rim key escutcheon. The revolving top is supported by a turned
pedestal on a tripod of three reeded sabre legs with waterleaf
carved knees. The legs terminate in finely articulated cast brass
feet on brass casters. Mahogany and figured mahogany veneers.

opposing a functional drawer, each mounted with two drawer pulls.

with tulip poplar secondary wood. The square, fixed top is supported
by a conforming apron with drawer. Hinged to the top are two
square-cut drop leaves. The table rests on square legs joined
by a cross stretcher. Pennsylvania, circa 1790. 30"x18"

with rounded corners and reeded edge. The top is supported by
beech rails, pin-hinged to the mahogany block. The block is supported

returns and carved lion's paw feet on cast brass casters. Circa

two drawer work table on four rope turned legs terminating in
ring and spike feet. The drop leaves are supported by butterfly
brackets. The drawers are fitted with their original mushroom
turned mahogany drawer pulls centering on a cast brass rim key
escheon. White pine secondary wood, Boston, circa 1815. 28 1/2"
high, approx. 16 1/2" square top with 8" drop leaves. |

English Georgian brass and ebony inlaid mahogany lap desk. The
interior is fitted with a secret compartment with spring-operated
panel revealing six concealed drawers under the pen tray. The
interior is lined with rosewood. Note veneer patch to the front
and rear of the case marking the entry point and exit of a musket
ball. |
