and has been upholstered with horsehair fill and covered in wool
satin with braided gimp trim. 38"H x 28" D x 62"L.

10-1-2004 Academic revival classic camel back
sofa, 6'7"long x 30" deep x 34" high. Identified
as the Fitzwilliams Chippendale sofa after the model from Milton
Manor, the home of Earl Fitzwilliam. It is upholstered in a natural
undyed English upholstery herringbone linen. Made by Wood &
Hogan, England, circa 1955. |

Chippendale-style upholstered sofa on six square stop fluted
legs which are joined by an 'H' stretcher. Upholstered in herringbone

6-6-2005B American Sheraton upholstered sofa.
The continuous crest rail, the ram's horn scrolled arms (supported
by a turned arm post over turned legs) and the exterior arm panels
are all of American cherry. The four turned legs terminate in
cast brass cup casters. The frame has been upholstered in linen
over horse hair fill. Upper Connecticut Valley, circa 1820. |
