side chair with later black finish with embellishments in gold
paint. The turned hardwood elements include the continuous turned
back legs joined by a carved crest rail and lower cross rail
which are fitted with split, turned back splats. The turned seat
rails support the natural rush seat above turned double box stretchers.
The turned front legs terminate in a turned-up foot. New England,
