Pair
of finely cast, chased and oxidized brass candlesticks in the
conceit of a family of bears. The momma bear holds a cub under
her arm and another on her shoulder, who in turn holds a woven
basket which functions as the candle cup. The papa bear holds
a cub on his shoulder, also holding a basket which functions
as the candle cup. Russia, ca. 1860. |
